Guide For The Mage Wana-Be's.

Hello Everyone, I am making a Mage Guide For Those Who Want To be Mages, Please understand that some of it might not be good, But it is how i play. Enjoy .

GEAR

You will often Want to choose Gear that has Spell Damage/Spell Critical In It, And maybe some additional Sockets, My Recommendations are:.

Brutal Gladiator's Silk Amice,
Brutal Gladiator's Silk Cowl,
Cloak of The Illidari Council,
Sunfire Robes,
Bracers Of The Tempest,
Belt Of The Tempest,
Boots Of The Tempest,
The skull Of Gul'Dan,
Hex Shrunken Head,
Leggings Of Calamity,
Gloves Of Tyri's Power.

Those are what i Recommend, You will have to choose Rings/Trinkets/Weapons Yourself, It is how you wish to play.

Talents: 6/0/55, Frost is a great Talent Tree for PvP, And often allows you to deal good damage.

Gems: For Gems, You would want to have: Red = +12 Spell Damage, Yellow = +12 Spell Critical, Blue = +15 Stamina (So You Can Survive Longer).

Warriors: During the start of the fight, Keep you're distance from him, Start with a Frostbolt, Icelance, And Fire Blast, Then Blink, If he gets close to you, Frost nova and blink away, Do not let the Warrior get 50 Rage, Or Its GG. Just Repeat The Pattern, And keep You're Distance.

Mage: This is a tough One, As soon as the duel start's, Mass Spam the Counterspell Key as if you're life depenended on it, And then nuke them with everything you have, Of course the other player will try and do the same.

Hunter: Try and start off in 4 metres, If you get into the 5-35, Its GG, Just try and nuke him close range.

This is for beginners so it will not be that Good, i will add more classes later.

Sorry I don't PvP using ANY T6. Even if it has more crit than PvP Gear.

p.s - 41/20/0 Is a GREAT spec if you can play it right.

Are you srs? Slow affecting GCD makes you win >.>

Well it provides spell crit and spell dmg ... But not many spells you can nuke with.

I like that you have no pvp trinket.

if the topic maker is serious here is a few handy tips:

though I havn't been playing on VCN for a long long time and I don't know exactly how warriors are working here but this I have to say: never blink before intercept, using Icelance without a frozen target only gives around 400(ish) damage more and triggers GCD so I'd start another frostbolt cast, when warrior gets too close cone of cold (or frostnova if you feel it's needed) and get distance after that and nuke frostbolts (if you go with frostnova try to get a shatter combo and watch out for spellreflect)

and against mages I wouldn't start off with spamming CS unless you have 17 points in arcane tree and have improved counter-spell (probably even then I wouldn't do it)
