Instant Log Out during Combat

Subject: Instant Log Out during Combat Tue 27 Jan 2009, 6:19 pm

What is with people who can instantly log out during combat? Last time I checked the only way to log out in combat is Alt F4 and that just closes the client, it doesn't leave the game for a few secs and yet there are assclowns who gank duelers at the end and then insta log out when they get attacked and then no one can hit them. This is an exploit because as far as I know it can't be done on retail and people really should be disciplined for this. It makes PvP worthless.

I assume its just some script kiddy looking up the logout script which most likely is instant and can be done in combat and while moving. If rouslan were to disable this script the problem would be solved.

It's a bug. Make a /camp macro and you can do it.. It's random though.

A few explanations.

Server Kick due to speed hacks.

Already logging off but bugges so the timer is still going but you can move.

Abuse theory 1(I'm not completely sure, but I think svips can instantly log off).

There is a hack that makes you rested(Like in an inn, so instant logout) at all times(Not giving name so people and google it).

Abuse theory 2(Porting to a major city then logging off instantly).

I did some research and it's a script. But any of those theories are plausible as well.

usally people walk into a city which somehow makes them able to log out instantly a lot of people do it on Wrath pretty easy to find out
