need some help with patching n stuff

ok so i installed classic and BC with the discs and i think im at patch 2.0.1 so i open with the launcher to try patch upto 2.4.3 and it makes me install some downloader then install BC again and im at 3.0.1 then..?

After you've installed basic client and then tbc client, patch yourself up manually from http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors to 2.4.3. You'll get much faster download speeds from there anyways. Start with 2.x -> 2.4 (924mb). Once you've downloaded the patches put them somewhere on your computer so if you ever uninstall wow and want to reinstall all you have to do is run the patches. Start up wow and at the login screen look in the bottom left corner of your screen.

» About (not) patching to 3.08
