Vertical sync is meant to do that, It's your current monitor refresh rate (60hz) and prevents Tearing on monitor when playing FPS games that has alot of fast action movement (such as Counter-strike source)

Vertical sync is meant to do that, It's your current monitor refresh rate (60hz) and prevents Tearing on monitor when playing FPS games that has alot of fast action movement (such as Counter-strike source) Mm, i bought the monitor (19" LCD, Flatron) with the computer. I'm happy with 60 fps, i don't see the point in going any higher, Since there is no fps lag.

Apparently here you was complaining about Vertical Sync letting your FPS at 60. And y our 19" LCD monitor which i dont give a rats ass about is obviously running at 60Hz, and setting anything above or even exactly at it will cause major problems with screen refresh rate. I know because i set ATI tools to exactly 60 Hz and fucked up visual until i had to disable it and then reconfigure it using the basic version.
