Downpatching and keeping 3.0.8 for retail

So I really suck at technical stuff, but how do I downpatch and keep 3.0.8 for retail

Someone, please ?

i thought this server supports 3.0.8 so!?
i mean that what it says

srsly someone could u please give some answers? i mean ive done everyhing, ive downpatched, but to what should i downpatch? and like 3.0.8 (9506) i have that yes. what should it be!??`????

sO now I'm copying..I can keep realmlist for one and downgrade the other one right? Then just use 2 seperate launchers?

yeah...

I'm not sure how to downpatch and keep 3.0.8. Just downpatch to 3.0.1, then patch to 3.0.3, make a copy of that WoW then up patch to 3.0.8

Copy befor u downpatch is faster

Copy your World Of Warcraft folder then paste it somewhere random, once that is done rename new folder to wow or whatever now enter new wow folder, there rename wow.exe to wowwow or something
open Updates folder and delete patch 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 then go back and delete all patches you see and KEEP 2.4.3 to 3.0.1 then open Data folder and delete Patch.MPQ go back and hit repair.

That will drop you to 3.0.1

Next go to your World of warcraft folder (3.0.8 retail) there change wow.exes name to whatever you like
Go back to new wow folder and rename that wow.exe you changed back to wow then you got 2 steps

1. Do patchs manually by going google for them or whatever like, if google type : wow patch 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 UK or US depends where you live UK = european version US = american then do same to get patch 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 UK / US then once you have downloaded them move them to Update folder in new wow and double click 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 first and then do 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 NOW VERY IMPARTANT THAT YOU HAVE RENAMED UR RETAIL WOWS FOLDERS WOW.EXE otherwise update will QQ abaut you having 3.0.8.9 (retail) then patch it up and change realmlist once its done then open new wows folder wow.exe and you got ur self 3.0.3 and 3.0.8(retail)

2. Run launcher and patch to 3.0.3 and try not to overpatch back to 3.0.8 also before you do this you will have to rename 3.0.8 wow folders wow.exe then it will patch new wow folder cos there will be only wow.exe thats not updated to latest version then change realmlist once its 3.0.3 and play

Did that yesterday working fine now
(Dont change retails wow folders wow.exe back to original cos then it will get fucked up)

That was alot more complicated than needed there is another guide in another topic that works and is a hell lot faster and less complicated

well its not that complex its basicly copy paste rename delete some stuff then run repair
rename original and patch up there you go

No need to rename original tbh

umm we do and i got it work, its just not the newest 3.0.8 its the 3xxx version not the 9506 one

Finally downpatch, got to version 3.0.3
but when I try to get on I get an error of "Unable to connect to server, please contact a blizzard tech... bah blah"

Is the server down?

Just curious please let me know.
