I love the whole series, just watched Rise of the Lycans yesterday, extremely good for me.

9/10

I guess you should watch THIS movie first before Underworld 1 and 2, because this was the whole beginning of the Lycans.

If any of you watched it, I got a question.

Q. How come Markus had wings but Michael didn't?
(They are both hybrids and Markus got the blood of a lycan during his sleep, why didn't Michael wings when he was bitten by a Vampire directly?)

A: The second hybrid was Lycan first, vampire second. The first was vampire first, Lycan second.

So shouldn't Michael get something cool too? He seems exactly the same as Markus but Markus has wings and more power.

Markus was bitten by a Bat, becoming one of the first generation Vampires. Like his brother, William - he gains distinctive tints to the genre - example William being the first to be bitten by a Wolf, turning him into a Lycan (not like the later generation types) - Markus gains features similar to a Vampire, AKA - wings. Michael was (bitten by Lucian) transforming him into the later generations of Lycan. However considering Selene also save Michaels life, by biting him, his blood contains a rare genetic pattern, allowing him to become a hybrid, like Markus and William from their father Alexander Corvinus (first immortal).

I suppose so. It’s kind of complicated in some ways. Michael is Michael, hybrid Lycan and Selene is just Vampire / turned immortal day walker (second film).

its really good like it wasnt a large scale movie not much out for advertisements but its a really fucking good movie go see et Very Happy

When I first saw the film, I thought Immortal meant lives forever, not immortal from sunlight.

When I first saw the film, I thought Immortal meant lives forever, not immortal from sunlight.

Immortal does mean you live forever, but considering she drank Alexander's blood - it blended with her Vampire strain on the same level. For example, how Michael become the Lycan hybrid - via the mixture of his cells on the same level simply because he carries the Corvinus strain, Selene gains similar tints, making her a Vampire "dominant" Hybrid. If you noticed in the Underworld films, most of the Vampires eye colour appear a Blue like shade - Selene's appear a light White, qualifying the classification that her cells levelled with the Corvinus strain - showing that she is immortal, and without actual risk of being burned when exposed to sun light - because she drank Alexander's blood. It's all to do with the Corvinus strain.
