|  Subject: Downpatching : Explanation.  Mon 02 Mar 2009, 1:29 pm | |
| I have a friend who is using at the moment a 3.0.9 version of WoW.
He needs to downpatch so he can play on the 2.4.3 server.
But neither him or I know how to do that.I'm asking for some explanation. | |

Do you know the meaning of downpatching, I'm not talking about reinstallation. you cant because he is running WoTLK he needs the Burning Crusade so the best is you reinstal WoW back and patch with manual patches if you Normal patches dont work | |

Anyway if you do, do you mind telling me how to downpatch to the TBC version of WoW. With reinstalling wow. Because WotLK is installed. But if you delete WotLK it's still installed. So just reinstalling, if you wanted to go to 3.0.9 to 3.0.1 you just had to delete patch.mpq and repair. | |

| By reinstall they mean use the CDs or torrent copy of wow(good chance of a virus)
Using any sort of digital download moderated by blizzard will only install 3.0.1 | |
