Are using Rank 1 spells bannable? They do a little less than the full rank and have usually under a second cast time. Seems like bug abuse to me, and as we all know bug abusing is bannable.

it seems like it would be abuse seeing as you are doing a little less damage, but your increased speed makes up for that...

Rank 1 spells are a non donor's only defense against a donor. Leave 'em be.

Basically, when you think about it...

Abuse is categorized as anything that isn't supposed to happen and you use it for your benefit.

Rank 1 spells aren't ment to be used to gain an unfair advantage in PvP. Therefore, using it is abuse.

Thats at least how I think of it.

that's not the point. the point is that they do more damage than what they actually should , and that is what makes the so tempting for nubs to use.

actually instant with a maximum of 1k dmg decrease.
u do 4 where u 'd do 1 of rank 16 ( fireball e.g) = 20k - 1 fireball rank 16= best crit > 9k - 10k.

starlights ss's are proof enough that it should be classified as abuse....

its too op. and don't give me no QQ that it makes it more even against donors.

Donors pay to be op, your not supposed to be as good as them so don't say it makes it a fair advantage so it should be allowed.

Its clearly abuse. And just because a rank 16 crit is better then rank 1, doesnt matter. Crits don't happen EVERY one, for some its a low percentage, aka non-donors, the ones that use this.

Also nice job trying to lie to me and telling me you had 5 haste buffs going on and the fireball was max rank and then using your max rank fireball then without anything buffing you you used rank 1 and said that was proof.

My mage in s2(All spec/Some donor) does like 5k rank 1 frostbolts crit lol and he has maybe 1.6-1.7k spell damage

l2read, i said a rank 16 fireball crit would do a max of 10k, whereas 4-5 rank 1 fireballs would do like 20k or sth due to the speed being nearly instant and the damage being more than what it should be (is it the same as retail : no )

This is true, and it would be a pain to remove lower ranks because then you would have to modify all spells to not require the lower ranks, then you would have to fix the trainers...

So even if it is bannable, it would be hard to catch.

I proved Rabies was using it, anyone with Quartz can easily discern if someone is using rank 1. And plus if they are casting something at about 1 second per cast then they are either talent stacking or rank 1 abusing, and both are pretty bad.

I just checked this out on my little Haste shaman, and 0.4 Lightning bolts critting 4000 is way too op.
