I am not sure who is right here, nor do I know anything about server performance in one specific area, but what Ryan is saying does kind of make sense imho.

Truth.

Each game object or NPC put into the game takes up memory space. when too much memory is used, it creates lag for the WHOLE server.

umm no. unless theres too many players online(which im pretty sure i was on at this time and it was only like 400) than a player cant lag the server. your personal lag doesnt affect the server lag at all. so if you have shit internet it just affects yourself. although other players will see the effects(youll jump around/stand in one place etc)
