And once you patch up to 3.1.1. - its impossible to get back to 2.4.3, i spent 1 week trying to get back down on it. I tried 10 ways and non of them worked

Yeah, because when you downgrade by deleting Patch.MPQ and Patch2.MPQ, it brings you to 3.0.1 and there is no other patch files/zip's that you can delete to downgrade :'(

why dont you just reinstall wow and patch it up to 2.4.3?

I downloaded my wow free without CD's.
Just go to Plaguewow.com it's another P-Server that had clients, and it downloads in minutes.

They did a new thing right after 1.9.4, mirror patches don't work, and it sends you right to 3.0.1 - tried that all this week

Why don't you just make a copy of wow when it's 2.4.3 and update only one of them to 3.1 and so you will have BC and WOTLK.
