Hey there, Elliot here.. I was bored so i started thinking.. let me make a guide about how REAL paladins PvP.. Not some Stamina Stacked, Vengeace Abusers.. Etc Etc ( No Hard feelings Mon)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Lets start
Holy Spec Paladins require the correct gear style to really be most effective. Holy Shock becomes the bread and butter of any offensive Holy-spec spell casting. When I was Holy Spec and PvP’ing, I found that around 300 spell damage was a sufficient amount to make many of my spells crit for around 1000, and of course this is not mitigated by armor. At the same time, being holy spec, you do not want to limit the other roles that you can perform. You’ll be one of the best healing options for any group in Warsong Gulch. Being able to cast almost un-interruptedly with Spiritual Focus (Talent) and Concentration Aura makes for excellent heals, even when under pressure. Cleanse is even more powerful in PvP because of its multiple spell types covered in a single cleanse. If you can understand the balance between using Flash of Light for fast, efficient healing, and Holy Light, when you have the time to cast and need to land a big heals, you’ll be invaluable to your teams...
-------------------
This is for the people who waste Divine shield on Sap and such.
This is maybe the single more misunderstood ability that Paladins have. In group PvP, Divine Shield is more than a tool to avoid direct deaths. Divine Shield is often most useful when you cast it to remove debuffs, such as Mind Control or Polymorph. Remember, it can also remove all forms of player casted debuffs, so often times you can allow the competition to unload on you, and divine shield to force their attention elsewhere. Also remember, for the duration of the shield, you’re invulnerable and not losing health. Many times, it’s better to heal others while Divine Shield starts and they’re taking damage, and then heal yourself near the end of the effect, right before you’re vulnerable, what i alwasy do on a rogue is, wait untill he used al his CD's and divine shield when he KS's you after he used his Cooldowns, Try to spam holy shock, and at the same time watch yur own health also dont forget that rogues are hitting you very fast so its wise to always have HoF on youre self as saoon the CD is ready.. Then you can try to melee hit him and Use Avenger shield, also never give the rogue/stealther A chance to get OoR from youre holyshock..
-----
this is a little starter for arena:
If youre doing warrior/pala setup ( i preffer that )
Then dont waste HoF on yur self, the warrior might save you from the DPS that is pawning you, Dont waste holyshock if one of the party members is above 18k HP ( use Flash )
Try to dispell any magic, slowing, damaging ( poison, Fire, Etc etc )
And keep the Main DPS of the other group as far as posible from the warrior Try to Spam HoJ on the healer/DPS what you preffer and keep focusing on that, i say get a focus macro.. dont waste youre pvp trinket on a crapy or something, dont use yur Divine shield only when its really really needed.. Like if you are on 40%, use holy shock on youre self, and flash of light spam the DPS ( dont forget HoF )
Then back to youre self, heal to 100% and hoJ the one whos attacking you, by this time you be oom, so use Divine plea or wutever its called :$.. Use the Mana Judgement and keep attacking the healer together with the warrior..
