I either played fire on frosty or frost on my troll mage.

| Vs casters: Spam counterspell, shield, and arcane barrage. That's it.
Vs Melee: Much harder:
Use Wards when appropriate. They can actually help you win.
Shields. If a shield goes down, refresh it. Never ever walk around spamming abilities with your shield down.
Frost nova on every cooldown. Yes, you're itching to press that Arcane Barrage again, but Nova + Ice Lance does MUCH MORE damage. Learn it, use it, love it.
Only Blink on the second stun. For warrs, on intercept. For rogues, on kidney shot.
If you've got too many dots on you, ice block.
Before you evocate, polymorph.
Oh yes, USE POLYMORPH. Best fucking move ever for running away. Use it whenever you have slow up.
Cast Cycle:
While Running: Slow, Arcane Barrage, Fire Blast, Arcane Barrage, Ice Lance, AB, IL, AB, IL...
While not being focused: Arcane Blast, Arcane Barrage, Fire Blast, Arcane Blast, Arcane Barrage. | |
